Verified Reviewer |Faulty workmanship and not living up helping to repair our trailer.
We purchased a brand new 2016 Creekside camp trailer that was manufactured at
Outdoors RV in La Grande Oregon to find many internal problems like windows that didn't open to cabinets moving away from walls to a rotted bedroom floor caused by neglect and oversight on the assembly line because an awning arm was not sealed.
Now over $3000 in damage and the manufacturer will not even help us to repair this. We are retired and on a limited income and the trailer is not even paid off.
The Service Manager, Rick Ewing agreed to help then he refused to honor his commitment.
We will never purchase another RV from Outdoors RV Manufacturing nor refer our friends to them. Very dissatisfied with this company.

Verified ReviewerIt never works
I am beyond frustrated, annoyed, disappointed, and frankly unimpressed with Outdoors RVs.! We bought our 2022 Outdoors RV 29ft Trail Series Toy Hauler on August 5th, 2022.
We have had nothing but problems sense. We use our camper 2 to 3 times a month. First 2 camping trips these things happened, also reasons 1st time in shop.
Safety pins not put in correctly, back bed wouldn't stay up in place.
Couches violently shake when coming down.
Seals not put in correctly fell right off back doors
Generator won't stay started for longer than 10 minutes. Brought into Northwest RVs to have fixed.
They said their was debris in the carburator, and that they ran it for a hour... When we got the camper back, the dial that indicates hour usage, never moved... Liars! Nothing fixed, parts ordered, sat in lot their for a week and a half.
Next 2 camping trips same problems.
2nd time in shop they had No parts in! Sat in their lot for another week and a half, with nothing being done. We had to waste our time and diesel to get it there, for what!?
2 more camping trips, same problems, and more.
Stoves left burner fell apart, front one doesn't lite all the way.
Front door needs to be slammed, Hard, inorder to shut.
Back bed totally went off track and fell randomly, soon after son woke up. Now won't stay up to allow latches to be flipped to lock into place for travel.
Safety concerns of children having bed spontaneously falling during sleeping, as well as sitting on couches underneath.
Back railing is junk slamming into screen and glass slider door tearing screens.
Rear door seal pealing off
Front jack beginning to groan and pop taking on and off hitch.
Been in the shop for repairs 2 time, for a total of 3 weeks for problems listed.
Still nothing is working right, have to take back in.. Third time! 10-02-2022
We Want My Money Back! Worst purchase ever!
We wayed out my options on many toy haulers.
Looking for that quality, made in America camper, and it's just been the worst purchase we've made. There is just no quality workmanship on this camper. We just got sold nothing what they said it was going to be.
Way to go America. You took away our family enjoyment, and just made us scared to even hook it up.
- Dont care about the customer and they dont fix issues

Verified Reviewer |Major safety concern, don't know if the propane tanks plating is done at the dealer or factory.
Came back from an off roading trip. Smell propane valve on the removed tank cover and was almost knocked over by the propane smell!!!
Truned off the valve and the tank was almost empty !!! Both tanks were loose and just setting on the holders!!! The all thread bolt was completely off at the base!!! Only thing holding the tanks on loosely were the hoses!!!
Reattacked the bolt and double nutted under the base so it would never happen again!!! I could have lost both tanks on the highway and you know what a mess that would have been. I went the servise manager at Dennis Dellin in Westerminster, Ca, he was oh, well I'll give you $150 store credit to replace your two hoses. I told him he needed to put out a safety notice to all manufactures and dealers but he probably didn't!!
I hope everyone out there double nuts that all-thread to pervent them from desasterous results!!! Sorry had the pictures on an old phone.
User's recommendation: Install another nylock nut on the bottom of your bracket!!

Verified Reviewer |A good product so far!
We purchased our Outdoors RV 280 KVS in March 2020. We have covered 15 States in the past ten months and been on the road off and on for almost 4 months out of the past ten.
What have we found?
Well, initially when we brought it home, I found about 20 fit and finish issues that I adjusted. There were cabinet latches and limit straps not properly adjusted, the stove top was not shimmed and the glass was resting on the burner assembly, one pocket door was dragging on the wall because the door slide was not adjusted properly, the screen door latch would not catch, I found loose screws on the exterior, some exterior trim was not cut correctly, so the rain from the roof gutters drained on it and sounded like a monkey beating on a tin can all night long, etc, etc, etc. Was anything major wrong? No, nothing major was out of whack.
These were fit and finish issues that took me a few hours to go over and fix by simply installing shims, tightening screws, readjusting latches, trimming some slide out corner pieces with a set of sheet metal sheers, re adjusting the screen door, etc.
Since those initial shakedown issues, I had to replace a piece of trim in the cabinets, and I've had one of the drawer slides completely fail because when they installed the slide, they split the mounting block. We are on the road right now for another month, and it will take me an hour maybe to fix that when we get home. These are our gripe list items. Now, how about we go for the good things we love.
The trailer is well insulated.
We have three slides, and they give us lots of space, they are fairly well insulated, and we've had no water intrusion issues. The gas furnace works great, and in sub 20 degree temps, we use around 6 gallons o propane a week running everything on propane. We have an electric fireplace, and when we are plugged in and not "boondocking,' this keeps the cabin comfortable and we use basically almost no propane except what we cook with as our refrigerator is a dual fuel unit.
We put a topper on the mattress and it is extremely comfortable. Our 280KVS has a lot of well situated storage.
The bedroom is roomy with the slide out and we can walk around the bed to make it. The closet and drawers are perfect for the clothing we bring along.
The living area with the opposing slide outs is roomy, and with the rear kitchen and lots of windows the entire living space is full of natural light and gives us great views when we are parked in scenic locations.
The camper/trailer tows well. It is heavy compared to other similar sized units, but I believe that's possibly due to the construction differences. The suspension and axles provide a very smooth ride for the cabin that always impresses me when we stop.
We rarely find even an open drawer, and we have literally taken this big girl off-road where you'd probably not think a 34 foot bumper pull would go. That's another point, these ORV trailers have amazing ground clearance, and I utilize that to my advantage often. We've boondocked this unit in Southern Utah, Northern Montana, and all over Southern Oregon and Northern California with no issues going into the backcountry. Nothing drags or gets torn off.
That brings up another item.
The tanks are sized well. With 100 gallons of fresh water on board, and dual 50 gallon gray tanks and then the black tank too, we've been off grid for two weeks without issue. Yes, the tanks were full when we were pulling out, but that was the plan. We emptied them that night at the RV Resort we'd booked.
Since we used the pit toilet in camp for those deposits, it was really just a matter of short showers, and being careful with the dishwater, and it worked.
I did install solar and a full inverter on our unit, and I have to say that the 30 Amp Zamp Solar charge controller is a little on the undersized side for a serious solar system. It would be better if it was a 50 Amp setup. I'll also say that at 200 lbs, I find their "walk on roof" slightly sketchy. I never wear shoes on the roof, and I feel for roof trusses.
There is a lot of give in the roof plywood if I step anywhere away from a truss or away from the edges. I've installed three solar panels on the roof, and I was careful to find trusses to screw into for the brackets. I'd be cautious about your roof excursions.
Other than that, we now have probably towed our RV over 10,000 miles this 1st year and spent almost 4 months in her. It's a good unit, but the construction inside is not to the highest standards.
You will have to adjust and fix fit and finish items. However, at the price point, I feel the structure is well insulated, the frame and suspension are well put together, our electrical and appliances have all worked as they should, and we have amazing ground clearance and boon docking abilities for such a large comfortable living space. Could you do better at this price point? I'm not sure that you could.
I just helped my sister purchase a Lance that is smaller than ours. It is amazingly well-built, but lacks a lot of our size, lacks our ground clearance, has only one slide, and is the same price as ours new. Her Lance would be a massive downgrade in my mind as far as features go, but it is super well-built and, I didn't see the fit and finish issues I had to immediately address with our ORV unit inside her trailer.
So there is the comparison. I think with the ORV unit, you get some advantages over units in some specific areas.
If ground clearance, excellent towing characteristics, lots of windows, multiple slides for more comfortable living spaces, good insulation, heavy duty suspension, and tanks big enough to boondock for longer periods are important to you, then seriously consider the ORV unit. Just be aware, they do skimp on some fit an finish issues, but I've found those issues to be easily fixed and adjusted for the most part.
We've had nothing but great experiences with our 280KVS on all the important things, and the adjustments I've had to make to things have really been very minor. I think all RV's will require some of the things I've done over time, this one just needed those adjustments on day one.
- Good unit at this price
- Minor fit and finish
User's recommendation: A good purchase at the price point for people who really do "boondock."
Factory wiring issues
User's recommendation: I would like to enjoy my investment but the workmanship on the wiring makes me no longer want to recommend this RV company.
Will you make my factory wiring defect right?
2019 21TRX - HEARTBREAKING
We researched Outdoor RV and waited several months for one to become available. These trailers are at a premium compared to others due to their construction.
I have photos of drawer glides not having screws. Cabinet hinges missing drill holes and screws. Switchplates fall into the wall and cannot be used. Minor issues, but disappointing.
When emergency exit windows cannot be open, the sliding doors to the back patio cannot be open. I have never been able to open the kitchen window. There are so many manufacturers issues to list. TV has a blue line across it.
Microwave button sticks.
I notified the dealer numerous times and asked, is this normal No they kept reassuring me.
Is it possible as this was the first one of these models made we may have gotten a lemon?
Our one-year warranty expired 2/22/20 and Outdoor RV would not even extend for a few months, as my husband has a heart condition and we couldn't risk his health
Now as of 2021 the wiring burned and melted in the panel behind the breakers and it is FAULTY WIRING. Looking at getting a lawyer now.
